Cruises depart from Douglas for a 2 hour, non-landing cruise to picturesque Derbyhaven which is a little further down the coast from Port Soderick. After passing Port Soderick on route the voyage takes us past the rocky headland of Gob-L-hiack, passing Pistol Castle, Santon Head, Port Grenaugh, Jackdaw Bay and Santon Gorge. We arrive at Derbyhaven, which is a well known haven for yachtsmen and a great place to view sea birds and often seals. We sail past Fort Island with its well preserved Civil War fort and ruined chapel and view one of the Island’s oldest landing places with its ancient breakwater and lime kilns. The Vikings landed here and the Battle of Ronaldsway was fought on the site of the present day airport.
